OUR WEEKLY THEMES FOR MAY. Our themes this month are PLANTS & GARDENING and FAIRY TALES. We will continue to learn and put into practice our LIFESKILL WORDS and COMMUNITY GUIDELINES.
DAILY FOLDERS- Please have your child bring their "Home and Back" folder each day to school!
SPECIAL EVENTS-
BOOK-IT LUNCH- May 6th for those students who participated in the Pizza Hut Book-it reading program regularly this year.
YOUNG AUTHOR'S TEA- Friday, May 8th at 1pm in the cafeteria to share our books we made in class.
PTA FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT- Friday, May 8th at 6:30pm for a $1.50 hot dog dinner and FREE movie "Bolt" at 7pm!
SNO-CONE PARTY- Wed. May 13th at 1:00 pm. Bring a $1 for your sno-cone to eat in our new outdoor classroom!
SUPER KIDS DAY- Friday, May 15th in the morning. A day of fun outdoor activites. Wear sunscreen and sneakers!
FIRST GRADE PERSONAL BEST PARTY! It will be on Thursday, May 21st . Students with fewer than four behavior marks for the month will attend a movie and snack party to reward their attentive listening and cooperative behavior for the month.
REPORT CARDS go home on Friday, MAY 22nd which is the last school day for students.
FAMILY HOMEWORK- No homework the last week of school! Parents, thank you so much for your help with homework this year. It really helped your child progress and to be ready for our weekly tests! Don't forget to READ, READ, READ this summer with your child so he/she doesn't loose skills! I will send home any unfinished pages in our workbooks for you to use over the summer, as well.
