Mrs. Stoner will be returning for the last week of school!! I have truly loved being a part of your childs' lives this school year, thank you for sharing them!:)

So many fun things are coming up in the next 2 weeks!!
1. No school Monday, May 25
2. No more tutoring - the kids have worked hard!!!
3. Wednesday, May 27 - last reading buddy get-together, students may bring a snack for themselves and their yearbook for buddy to sign
4. Thursday, May 28 - Marketplace!!! (see note below)
5. Tuesday, June 2 - 3rd grade spelling bee
6. Wednesday, June 3 - End of year party!
7. Friday, June 5 - last day - yearbook signing -early release 1:30
Thanks to those of you who sent in Marketplace items. Our classroom "stores" will be an ice cream shop, stationary store, nail salon, and candy store - if you have any of these items at home to donate please send in -- not the ice cream yet!!:) Although if you are willing to bring in ice cream please let me know ASAP!!

This week - May 26-29:
Math: We will continue with double digit multiplication, and long division with remainders. I will send home the weeks Daily 6 on Thursday with your child so they have that at home to help prepare for each Friday's Daily 6 quiz covering the same concepts - please review with them Thursday evening. They did great this week on them!!:) Thanks for your help at home.
Social Studies: We will continue our unit on Marketplaces.
Science: Plant studies, how they are important to other plants, animals, environment etc. We will end with a quiz Friday. They will bring home a review.
Reading: For fun this week!!! No more comprehension!!
Language Arts: We will finish out the year with working on a mini poetry unit!
