Thanks,

GREAT NEWS:  I am happy to tell you that because of your 100% participation in PTA membership, our class was awarded with $75 worth of book fair books!  How awesome to add more great choices in promoting a love for reading to our students!  I am so thankful for your involvement and the benefits you bring!!!
HAVE A VERY HAPPY, BLESSED, SAFE THANKSGIVING WITH YOUR FAMILY AND LOVED ONES!!!

***For the 3rd six weeks, students should include a biography or auto biography chapter book for their Reading log minutes. VIP!!! Your child should pick a biography on a person who has contributed to the history of our nation or other historical international person. Please help them get a start on this by visiting your local library if necessary.  Thanks for your wonderful support and enthusiasm of your child's learning.  The next reader's response project will be based on their biography book and will be due in January(date-tba).
***READING LOGS were distributed and will be checked again on December 8th.  Students may record on the log of Thanksgiving week, but they are not required as I know many are traveling and busy visiting with family.

We need more time to review our study on nouns:  common, proper, singular, plural and possessive forms.  A refresher on capitalization rules was discussed and practiced as well.  Students have completed a study guide, we need more time to review these skills.  We will review on Monday, 12/1 and take the test on Tuesday, 12/2. We will also observe writing samples and discuss the difference between "wide and shallow" or "narrow and deep" writing. Students will review their writing rubric score from October's prompt.

SPELLING (Mrs. Dennis): Unit 14 Test will be on Friday, 12/5.  Students should define the vocabulary
