Welcome Everyone! 
December 1st - 5th
Welcome back! I hope that you had a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving. We will be getting back to work in our class. We have several weeks of learning before the Christmas break. Have a wonderful week!
Join us this Saturday, December 6th at the "Wellington Barnes and Noble" fundraiser. It is at the Highland Village Barnes and Noble. You can purchase your holiday gifts, while supporting our school at the same time. Student Council representatives will have a table set up to wrap your gifts! Also, I will be reading to the children at 11:45 a.m. Wellington teachers will be reading all day :) There will be tons of Wellington talent on display, too. Clubs will be represented. The jump rope team will perform, and the Wellington choir will perform, too.
Health Alert:
There has been a case of pneumonia in our class. Please watch your child for coughing and/or other symptoms. Be sure to seek a doctor's care for your child if you notice any symptoms.
Helpful hints for this week:1. Please make sure that your child is taking responsibility for his/her homework, I C.A.R.E. forms, and reading logs. 2. Please make sure that your child is practicing multiplication facts daily. Math facts should be completely mastered by this point. He/she must know them in order to be successful in division and with word problems.
3. Please remember to have your child bring a water bottle and a healthy snack to school.
4. Be sure to check your child's I C.A.R.E. daily. He/she should be bringing it to your for your signature. Be sure to sign on Fridays, too. *This is working beautifully for almost all of the children. If not, please stress the importance of them taking the responsibility to do this on a daily basis.(including Friday)5. 6. Please put your child's lunch money in an envelope, and label it with your child's name and my name. (Robin Cotten)
7. Please keep all spelling 1/2 sheets! Your child will need to use these to study for the cumulative 6 weeks quiz. We will have that quiz this week.

NEWS ALERT: Wellington's own Paw Publishing Company has started up again. Your child has an opportunity to write and illustrate his/her own book, and have it published. Please encourage your little writer to do so! At your request, I will send home a packet of information about this process. Please email me or write a note on your child's I C.A.R.E. or planner if you are interested in receiving this information.
These books must be turned in by this Wednesday, December 3rd!!!
