A Note from Mrs. Snyder
We are very excited about our upcoming Holidays Around the World Festival. Please remember to have your child here at O.S.E. on Thursday, December 13th at 5 p.m. We will be meeting in the cafeteria and those will be the only doors unlocked at that hour. When helping your child prepare his/her food item, please keep it as simple as possible. My intention is not to bring more stress upon your family during this busy holiday season. If you would prefer to purchase your food item, feel free. If you love cooking with your children and have the time, we love to enjoy home-made food. It is whatever is appropriate for your family. Please bring the food already in small serving sizes. This is more of a tasting after our presentations – not a necessarily a meal. If possible, please bring enough to serve 40. I understand, though, if this is too overwhelming. The children will eat before their guests – because they did the hard work to prepare the presentation. That night, there will be cards available to tell the name of the dish your child brought and what country it originated from. Please encourage your child to come in that country’s traditional dress or with a small home-made prop (paper is fine). I can’t wait to see you all.
Several children have brought in their items for the toy auction. If your child has not, please make sure you do so soon. For suggestions and/or parameters for the toy, please see the attached document.
Thank you so much to all of the families who donated items to our Angel Tree recipient from Central Elementary. She will have a blessed holiday due to your generosity.
