8-26-08:
WU- What are your expectations of me and this class?
-Begin reading the introduction to the Anglo-Saxon
period (pg. 2-16)
     -Take notes from power point presentation in class
-Discuss archetypes and begin character archetypes
HMWK:
-Read the descriptions of the character archetypes from
the notes provided in class. On the archetype note sheet
provided in class, write down two examples of each
character archetype and be ready to explain your choices
in class tomorrow.

8-27-08:
WU- Why do we study literature?
-Finish reading the introduction to the Anglo-Saxon
period (pg. 2-16)
     -Take notes from power point presentation in class
-Discus character archetypes
HMWK:
-Read the descriptions of the situational and symbolic
archetypes from the notes provided in class. On the archetype
not sheet provided in class, write down two examples of
each situational and symbolic archetype and be ready to
explain your choices in class tomorrow.

WU- Name a sitiuational or symbolic archetype that you
found, and explain why it fits into the category you
have chosen.
-Continue discussing archetypes

-Finish discussing archetypes
-Weekly grammar extravaganza
     -Adverbs and adjectives
     -Complete the packet and be sure to use correct
      capitalization and correct punctuation

-Begin reading Beowulf, Prologue-7 (pg. 23-38)
     -Take notes on the note sheet provided in class
-Grammar from Friday is due
