It's somewhat intimidating to know that this is my 'last' schoolnotes update for this 2007-2008 school year. I really don't know where the time went. This has been an absolutely unbelievable school year, selfishly, for me. I can't tell you how many times throughout this school year I wish I had the power to create a word that held more value and meaning than THANK YOU. I have been humbled and blessed beyond measure by your children, your kindness and abundant generosity.
Friday's baby shower was yet just another overwhelming example of your thoughtfulness. From the fruit bouquet, balloons, cupcakes, decorations, amazing gifts, giftcards, your excitement and participation, and most of all the enthusiasm that my students shared for Macie and I...priceless. What a sweet, sweet memory I will always treasure.
THANK YOU!
One more thing...THANK YOU for the giftcard to Babies R Us as my end-of-the-year gift! WOW! WOW! WOW!
For the sake of your precious time I will wrap this up but in sincere honesty it will be so diifficult for me to say goodbye to my students on Thursday. Thank you for EVERYTHING...for sharing your little ones with me.
UPDATES AND REMINDERS:
*On Thursday 4th grade will be eating lunch at 12:30
*Thursday, June 5th- 1:30 dismissal
*Friday, June 6th- NO SCHOOL
END-OF-THE-YEAR party...will be on Thursday, June 5th from 9:30-10:30. Parents and siblings are more than welcome to join us outside behind the gym/playground area during this time.
TAKS UPDATE: If you have not sent back the manilla TAKS envelope (signed and dated) please do so ASAP!
LUNCH BALANCES are low or in the negative for several students. PLEASE make sure your child has enough money in their account to cover the cost of their meals. Students will not be allowed to charge anymore. Cheese sandwiches will be given to students who do not have enough money in their account.
CONGRATULATIONS to students who participated in the TALENT SHOW Friday evening! Our Bluebonnet students are SO impressive!
4th Grade Yearbook Signing: On Wednesday afternoon (after recess) all 4th graders will have the opportunity to sign yearbooks. Please make sure your student brings his/her yearbook to school on Wednesday!
On Wednesday we will be doing a lot of cleaning out and packing up of our desks, lockers and other areas around the room! If you think of it you may want to send in a plastic bag to help your student haul home all of his/her treasures!
On Tuesday afternoon (after recess) we will have an end-of-the-year popsicle party with our 1st Grade Buddies in Ms. Tilley's class!
Here's What's Happening in Mrs. Hall's Class:
SOCIAL STUDIES: Students will work in partners to write three questions using their DGR folders and/or Atlas'. On Tuesday, students will take a student-created quiz (after I've typed up student questions written on Monday).
Language Arts: We will be doing a wide-variety of fun things this week including an "About Me" kite, dreaming up an ideal summer, wrapping up our year-long scrapbook projects (I can't wait to send these home!), and playing some of our Language Arts games that have been in Literacy Work stations throughout the year.
MATH: This week students will get to play Multiplication BINGO, Yahtzee (such a fun game), and other favorite Math games from throughout the year.
