Today we shall discuss the next spelling packet, which consists of words from Latin prefixes. Students will begin working on this packet in class, and it will be due on Feb. 16. The spelling test will also be that same day.
On Tuesday students will use their prewriting done last week to generate their rough draft for the major writing assignment on "Flowers for Algernon." This will be homework if not finished in class.
On Wednesday students will be in the computer lab to use Microsoft Word to type their rough draft from yesterday.
On Thursday students will peer edit the rough drafts and then revise and polish their drafts for a final copy. This final copy, along with the rough drafts, will be a major grade, due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
On Friday students will be back in the computer lab to continue working on the Poetry Project, which is due on Feb. 26.
Monday, Feb. 15, is a school holiday.
