Monday: Today all 8th grade students will take a one-half day field trip to the Dale Jackson Center and spend the other half of the day taking the Science TAKS Benchmark test.
Tuesday: Today we will continue discussing and reading "Flowers for Algernon." Students will receive a review handout to help them prepare for the test on this short story.
Wednesday: Today we will finish reading the short story. We shall discuss the writing assignment that accompanies the short story and also discuss different ways of writing leads.
Thursday: Today we will take the test on "Flowers for Algernon," and then begin a prewriting activity for the writing assignment.
Friday: Continue working on poetry project in the computer lab.
Poetry project will be due on February 26, 2010.
