Mrs. Kollasch’s 2nd Grade
September 29 - October 3, 2008
Parents: I spoke with the class today about talking.
I seem to have a very chatty group. I would appreciate
your assistance in reinforcing that talking takes time
away from learning and activities. I have told them to
come to school tomorrow with a new mindset about
talking. Thank you for your help.
***Just a reminder: I will take off points on
papers that do not have the complete name heading. A
complete name heading has first name, last name, and
number, for example, John Doe #3.

We are reading "The Mixed-Up Chameleon".
We will take the reading comprehension and vocabulary
test on Friday. Your child will bring home
their reading book on Wednesday to read aloud to you.
Please help your child remember to bring the book back
to school the next day.
Students should read a total of 60 minutes each week.
This needs to be written on the Reading Log, by the
student, and parent initialed.
Students have a Reading Homework Practice with words

down the street; raced down the street is the
predicate.
