WOW! I can’t believe it is already here.
We are going to have a lot of fun mixed in with our
last few days of second grade. Here is the agenda:
Monday, June 1: Hobby and Board Games
Your child may bring something they collect or a hobby
to demonstrate/share with the class. For example, the
hobby may be dancing so the student could bring dance
shoes and demonstrate to the class a few steps. For a
collection, it needs to fit on their desktop. That
afternoon we will play board games. Your child may
bring their favorite board game to play.
Tuesday, June 2: Read in and Music Appreciation Day
In the morning we will have a read in. Your child may
bring in their favorite books to read along with a
furry friend, pillow, blanket and wear their
slippers! That afternoon we will have music
appreciation. Your child may bring in their favorite
music to listen to either on their CD player or iPod,
MP3 player, etc.
Wednesday, June 3: Pillowcase signing and Housekeeping
Your child needs to bring in a cotton pillowcase
(no flannel), cardboard to fit inside during signing,
and a permanent marker. This makes a cute keepsake of
2nd grade. You may send these items in anytime prior
to Wednesday. We will be cleaning out our lockers and
desks and bringing home all of our belongings.
Thursday, June 4: Talent Show and Movie Theater Day
In the morning we will enjoy the talents of
Bridlewood’s second and third graders. Students
auditioned for the show and we have many acts to see!
Later that morning we will begin our Movie Theater Day
that will continue into the afternoon. We have a
choice of 6 movies for your child to select. Please
complete the permission form that came home today and
return by Wednesday, June 3. For the movie, we will
have popcorn and juice provided for their movie
watching enjoyment.
Friday, June 5: End of year celebration
We will have an awesome day of fun! We will take a nature walk to the park, play, and return to school for a picnic style Pizza Party! We will be on our
walk until 11 a.m. Please refer to the separate note
for more information.
