Week of June 2nd - 5th



Can you believe it's June?? I've never been to school a day in my life in June. :) It's a new experience for may of us. :)

This Thursday will be an early release day at 1:30. You are encouraged to come to the festivities for the day, with camera in hand. :)
-8:30 5th Grade Awards Assembly
-11:00 End of Year Party
-1:15 5th Graders Parade through the halls

*Remember that tank top straps must be 3 fingers wide. Many of the popular ribbed tanks do not have wide enough straps. Also, shorts and skirts must be fingertip length or longer.

*If you are in Mrs. Hartle's class for Language Arts, your homework for those subjects will be different.

Fun Study Strategies for Word Study:


*Write your words in whipped cream, peanut butter,or  anything you can eat!

*Write your words in shaving cream on a  counter or some other surface that can be cleaned safely.

*Write your words in mud or sand.

*Use modeling clay rolled thinly to make your words.

*Pretend you are a cheerleader and call out your  words!

*Using your finger, draw each letter on a partners'  back, having the partner say the word when completed

*Search a newspaper page from top to bottom,  circling each letter of a word as you find it.

*In a darkened room, use a flashlight to draw letters in  the air.

*Write your words with sidewalk chalk.

*Write your words using the Paint program on your computer
