PLEASE NOTE that lesson plans are subject to change as the need arises. Students are responsible for copying the actual assignments each day from the Daily Planner chart in the front of my room. If a student is absent from class, then it is his/her responsiblity to obtain and make up missed work in a timely manner. Late work is only accepted one day after it is due (with a deduction of -30 points). Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

1. Warm-up (Story Elements, Literary Devices)
2. Turn in SSR projects
3. Check Reading Logs (students with five weeks of 100 on the same Reading Log receive a free 100 for this week as well as a +25 bonus buck & treat pass)
4. Finish reading Taking Sides Chapters 10-13 (students read silently while listening to the CD)
5. Students work with a partner to discuss the questions based on Chapters 10-13
6. Pass out Final Exam Study Guide
HW: Students begin answering questions over the first half of the Final Exam Study Guide over poetry and figurative figurative language

Review for final exam using CPS remotes and SmartBoard/projector; students will test themselves on questions over TAKING SIDES using their CPS remotes to answer the questions on the SmartBoard
HW: Finishing answering the questions in the second half of the Final Exam Study Guide over TAKING SIDES to review for the final exam next week
