Week of May 12-

FYI- Living Museum presentations are due on Tuesday, May 20th. Students should be done with their book by now and preparing their paper/speech.

   Parents, You are invited to come see Living Museum, if you would like. It will be during your child's reading period.

1. TLW complete warm up as directed.
2. TLW read “For the Fun of It” from the text as a class. Students will practice “Seminar Reading”- asking questions of each other, etc as students take turns reading.
3. TLW take notes and participate in discussion about types of conflict found in literature.

HW- Work on presentation due next week.

Tuesday.-

1. TLW complete warm up as directed.
2. Continue working and reading through “For the Fun of It.” Students will do “Seminar Reading” and write questions they have of the story as they go through it.
3. TLW demonstrate understanding of story by completing questions 1- 5 on page 142 and Vocabulary on page 143.

HW- Work on presentation due next week.

Wednesday-

1. TLW complete warm up as directed.
2. Continue discussion about types of conflict. Use the computer program “Inspiration” to create Tree Map to show comprehension of concept.

HW- Work on presentation due next week.

Thursday-

1. TLW complete warm up as directed.
2. Continue  (Finsh?) working on Tree Map.

HW -Work on presentation due next week.

Friday-

1. TLW complete warm up as directed.
2. TLW create poster showing sequence of events in Amelia Earhart’s flight, according to the story, “The Fun of It.”

HW- Finish and practice presentation, due Tuesday.
