          Week of  May 12-16,2008

During Listening time, Students will listen to MISSISSIPPI BRIDGE or SARAH PLAIN AND TALL.

Monday: Students will time a cold reading of the next fluency story with partner and highlight words that were difficult. They will review reading and spelling decks next. Classes will then review concepts or  Multi-sensory Letter Introductions(MLI.  The next activity is spelling, where student apply concepts in practices and/or take quizzes and tests to assess understanding and retention of concepts they have learned.  Students will review Concepts Kit cards over recent Concepts presented. They will finish with listening.
    
Tuesday: Students will read passage with partner, after reviewing any words they stumbled over on Monday and summarize. Review reading and spelling decks. Classes will then review concepts or  Multi-sensory Letter Introductions(MLI).  The next activity is spelling, where student practice concepts and/or take quizzes and tests to assess understanding and retention of concepts they have learned.  Students will review Concepts Kit cards over recent Concepts presented. They will finish with listening.
    
Wednesday:"Chunk” paragraphs into normal speech pattern and read to partner, making it SOUND as good as possible and answer questions over fluency. Review reading and spelling decks. Classes will then review concepts or  Multi-sensory Letter Introductions(MLI). The next activity is spelling, where students practice concepts, and/or take quizzes and tests to assess understanding and retention of concepts they have learned.  Students will review Concepts Kit cards over recent Concepts presented. They will finish with listening.  
  
Thursday:  Students do final timing of fluency story with partner and discuss progress. Students will do short answer response over fluency. Classes will then review concepts or  Multi-sensory Letter Introductions(MLI). The next activity is spelling, where student practice new concepts and/or take quizzes and tests to assess understanding and retention of concepts they have learned.  Students will review Concepts Kit cards over recent Concepts presented. They will finish with listening.
  
Friday:  Library.  Students will return to the class to do vocabulary.
