I will be using this schoolnotes website to write my weekly plans for all to view. I may have to change things at the last minute. These are my FLEXIBLE plans and goals for the week. I will post new plans every Monday.

You are encouraged to keep a sixth grade science textbook at home. We will use a class set in my classroom. Please take care of your textbook. They are very expensive. They cost $54.50.

Note: Parents can access their child's grades on our gradebook program on line. Go to LISD's homepage at
www.lisd.net to set up an account/users instructions!
You can set up that you get an e-mail when a grade is lower than a 69 on an assignment. You can be notified if an assignment is missing (either absent or late).
I have typed in reasons for late work in the comments section.
I do place a 0 for work I do not receive....when the work is turned in then the grade will change (this helps me note the work is not in yet.It also tells me what the grade will be if it is not turned in at all)! I do not have make-up labs so the student will receive an X which tells me that it will not count/or hurt your average. I do not like to leave blanks because I want to make sure everything has been covered/checked. This is an important tool to keep you updated...I will try to keep it up by Mondays!
I also keep a weekly grade up in the hall under the student's ID number. This keeps my students updated and current.
Also: I do not always have 1 grade each week...sometimes we might have 3 grades in 1 week.
If you have any questions please email me....
good luck! This is exciting!
Note: I will be collecting 3 week progress reports and 6 weeks report cards. If I do not receive a signed copy by the parent the next week, our Pioneer team will mail them out.
