It is hard to believe that we are in the second six weeks already. Where is the year going?
In Math, we are working on division. Please keep reviewing multiplication math facts as this will help division go faster.
In Reading, we are reading The Indian in the Cupboard. It is a wonderful literature book about a boy and a miniature person who he brings to life with a magical cupboard and key We are completing a variety of activities while reading this novel.
In Social Studies, we are learning all about the regions in Texas. We are also learning about our presidential candidates and the election process.
In Science, we are studying earth and water. We just completed learning about the water cycle and will continue with weather and soil.
Just a reminder to be sure to have your child to school on time everyday. Attendance will be recorded by 9:30 a.m. this year.
We are having many students arrive to school late and therefore they are going through the breakfast line late. Please make sure your children get to school early enough for breakfast so that they can get to class on time.
Also, if your child forgets his/her lunch or books at home and you bring them to the office after 8:00, your child can pick them up at lunch time. Thanks!
