Reminders and
Announcements
PediPlace donation ends Friday.  Send in your dollars to get a paw.  Whichever grade has the most paws gets a popcorn party.  
If you have not sent in your time for a conference, please do so.  I want to be able to accommodate everyone and times are filling up.
Please remember to make sure your child does not bring candy to school this week.  I know that the kids get excited about getting all that Halloween candy, but we still cannot have it at school.  Also, try to limit your child’s consumption of the candy.  Too much candy will keep them from focusing on their school work.  Thanks!!

Our theme for this week is Spiders.  
  

  

Letter in Literature:
This week we will be learning the letter Ii.  Go over this letter by discussing the sound it makes and words that begin with this letter.

HOMEWORK:  ABC Journal - Ii


Sight Word:
This week we will be adding: pink and in.  After introducing the words, we will be practicing writing and recognizing them in printed text.

Math:
We are beginning chapter 4 - Numbers 0-5.  Work with your child on counting.  Have him/her make groups of each number.  This week we are going over the color pink.  On Thursday, please have your child wear something pink.
