Sketchbook assignments will be graded as a project grade.  Meaning sketchbook grades will have as much weight as a project grade.  Assignments are due one week from the time the assignment is given and is expected to be turned in complete.  Incomplete or missing assignments will be graded accordingly.  Students are responsible for acquiring their make up work for sketchbook assignments.

ART ROOM GRADING POLICY

I seek to provide a nurturing environment in which all students are empowered to explore and create.

The students are graded on three basic criteria:

-  Craftsmanship and completion of project
-  Demonstration of new learned skills
-  Effort/Behavior

E  = Student meets and goes well beyond expected criteria.
S+ = Student meets and exceeds standard expected criteria.
S  = Student meets standard expected criteria.
S- = Student falls just below expected criteria.
N  = Student is not meeting expected criteria.
U  = Unsatisfactory

A student's effort and behavior are PRIMARY in the grading process.  ART RULES are posted in my room and consequences of breaking the rules start with a warning and repeat offenses warrant a note home to keep parents informed of behavior.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

                     ART CLUB

               Children may bring an after school
               snack.PLEASE NO POPCORN!...It's just

Your children are precious!
