MATH: We will be working on Excel math again this year along with other math sources. Homework is assigned Mon. through Thurs. However,if your child uses their class time wisely, they may not have homework every evening. Homework will be written in their assignment notebook. We are also learning Multiplication facts. Please work with your child on the 6 facts a few minutes each day.
LANGUAGE ARTS: We are working on adjectives as well as inferences and figurative language in Reading. 5th graders are writing poetry.
SPELLING: Spelling words and a SpellCheck will come home every Mon. The SpellCheck has activities to work on each night and should be returned on Friday before the test. The students are divided into two groups, A and B. Your child knows their group.

Please check your child's assignment notebook each night for homework, which will be highlighted if it needs to be done at home. My conference time is 2:00 to 2:45 and my phone extension is 3738. If you have questions, please call and leave a message and I will return your call the same day. Your children are wonderful and I'm so glad to have the chance to work with them.
