Parent Information:

We have completed our lesson plans/ assignment conversion!
Our fifth grade team has converted all assignment information to eSembler. When you view your child's grades, you will be able to view the lesson plans for your child on the same page. We are hoping this more specific information will help to support our communication with you and your child more efficiently and productively.  Mrs. Fletcher and Mrs. Thompson have experienced using this system with their own children for middle school. This website will become stagnet except for our email information and upcoming events. However, we still continue to send out notices about upcoming events; like fall festival, the Briarwood Camp retreat, and so forth. In addition, we have the students record important events in his/her planner. We hope this "one-stop" communication about your child's academic progress will be easier for you. If you would like to see a preview of how the assignments/ lesson plans look- please look at your child's science grade in eSembler using the following steps.
Directions for eSembler use:
1) go to www.lisd.net and click on the icon/ picture that says "Online Grade Access"
2) on the eSembler page, select the icon on the right "new account" and begin filling out your username and password information you would like to use
3) You will then be asked to fill out information about your child for security. You MUST have your child's six digit student ID. It is the same as the student's computer username, excluding the prefix letters.
4) You can enroll as many children as you need to.
5) I believe you will get a confirmation email, to set the information and "complete" the registration process.
6) To access grades and lessons, enter your username and password. You will select your child's name, next.
Your child's grades will first appear, for every subject. As a reminder, Fine Arts does not enter grades until the end of the six weeks and the Lang. Arts grade is actually a combination of Language,Reading and Spelling on the report card.
7) To access lessons/ assignments: click on the BLUE grade. You can see all the individual assignments that formulates the grade first. AFter scrolling down, you can see the lesson plans for that week you are in.

We are very excited about this change and look forward to your constructive feedback!
