GROUPS
I will be meeting with third, fourth and fifth grade groups this week. I am forming groups for second grade. If your child would benefit from a group, please contact me.
GUIDANCE
This week I will be teaching lessons in Kindergarten and First grade. In Kindergarten I'm reading the book, Hooway for Wodney Wat by Helen Lester.
Students will discuss that it hurts other people's feeling when we make fun of them. We are all different. We shouldn't make fun of someone because they are different from us. In first grade, I'm teaching our next Second Step lesson. The lesson is about communicating feelings. Students will talk about different feelings, and how it is important to talk to someone we trust when we feel sad.
Our school wide bullying intervetion plan is called Using your WITS. All students currently in our building for the 2008-2009 school year have been introduced to our school wide bully intervention techniques, Using your WITS.

Our next Student Council meeting is Thursday December 11.
Spelling UIL
The 5th grade Spelling UIL team will meet after school from 3:00 - 3:45 on Wednesday November 19 and Wednesday December 3.
