Grading Policy

Homework =  30%
Test=       20%
Classwork=  50%

Remember, all work must be returned to teacher by the date requested. There is no late work nor extra credit.

Assignments for the week of September 17-20, 2007

Monday
U.S. Studies: Review PEGS/ Identify the PEGS of the 13 colonies. H.W. Complete PEGS packet for homework.

Texas Studies: Review CH.3 & 4 in class
TEST ON THURSDAY OVER CH. 3 & 4
Homework: Define Vocabulary terms and write sentences.

Tuesday
U.S. Studies: Review the New England Colonies/ Leaders
In Class: Complete chart identifying imperative information on the 13 colonies.
Homework: Complete charts for homework

Texas Studies:Introduction to European Exploration
Christopher Columbus and his impact on  European Exploration. Work on Spanish Explorers Chart
Homework: Complete Chart and REad Chapter 5

Wednesday
U.S. Studies: Review the 13 colonies. Discuss the founders of each colony and the purpouse of finding these colonies. Students need to know the colonies and their appropriate section.
Assignment: Create a 13 colonies map

Texas Studies: Review the Spanish Explorers in Texas
cover the chart which was assigned in class the previous day.
Assignment: REad Chapter 5

Thursday
U.S. Studies
Students will have the class period to work on their 13 colonies map.Due today!

Texas Studies: Test over Ch. 3&4
Map of Texas
Students will create a map of Texas. This map will be labeled and illustrated. Due Tuesday, September 25, 2007.
