Daily academic checks can be made by looking in your childs PLANNER which he/she should copy from the board daily.  Here you will find HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS, PROJECT DATES, TESTS, ETC.

SAT Words (10 per list) are introduced every 2 weeks.  Mon. – Thurs., the first 15 minutes of class are devoted to SAT words.  Notice the Flashcard button.  Students are required to create flash cards (using 3½ x 5 or 4x6 note cards) for each word and develop 2 to 3 sentences on the reverse side (lined side) of the note card to practice grammar, mechanics, and word usage/understanding.  In addition, this exercise is a great tool for developing study skills.  NEVER,is it optional!

DAILY:  SAT Words, Daily Oral Language, Diagramming,  Root Words, Response Journals,

Please check your child's planner for specific papers or assignments.  Each day your child is writing down the agenda from the board that is specific to the day's lesson.

Objective: explore how literary elements enhance a reading; examine how to recognize lit elements; establish an appreciation for literature; expand vocabulary
