Chapter 1 Lesson 5- Stress
1.    Have students close their eyes. List (teacher) stressful situations (some are on pA34 on the intro, you add others). As you describe situations, have students raise their hands and tell you how they feel about them. List on board. After finishing, lead them to see how they described stress.

        Students will understand the importance of not doing drugs, will be shown examples of people who have chosen to not do drugs, alcohol, etc. They will also be acting out situations and refusing drugs and other things they shouldn’t do in a classroom setting that will give them practice to be able to say no in real life situations.

        Students will perform push up, pull up, and flex arm hang to compete with themselves and their classmates.

    One Mile Run/Walk
        Students will have the choice to run, walk, or run/walk one mile at the track. Students will have certain times that will be required in each category in order to earn and A, B, or C. If they do not meet these times, then they will receive and F.
