For the week of October 13-17, students will work to improve and expand reading and writing skills. Students are working on a variety of skills each week. This week, we will review the apostrophe rules which were introduced last week, and we will add the prefixes "pre" and "pseudo". We will continue to learn to identify adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. Literary elements are a priority this week as well as some strategies authors use to add detail, mood, and interest to writing. Tutorials will continue this week so that all students who need assistance will receive the help they need to be successful. Some dates to remember:
