KINDERGARTEN - FOURTH GRADE ART

The third and fourth grades finished their drums for their play.  This project took several weeks, as the kids had to decoupage designs on large tin cans donated by the kitchen staff.  Be sure to check them out during Mrs. Hogan's play, "The Drum."

When the kids finished, they returned to incomplete Egyptian projects, the plaster tomb carvings (3rd) and the canopic jars (4th).  If they completed those they began work on a fun project called a name spiral which allows them to play with form and color.

Kindergarten, first, and second grade have been experimenting with the primary colors, the work of 20th century artist Mondrian, and 3-D paper sculptures.

Starting next quarter we will move into classical art (mosaics, scupture) and also take time to have fun with a Halloween theme.
