WEEK OF February 16th, 2009



This Week: Fitnessgram Testing



K-1st: Students will pracice their throwing skills as they play beanbag throw and beanbag tag games.





2nd-3rd Grade: 2nd Grade students will practice their throwing skills as they play cageball.  3rd Grades students will begin the second portion of their testing as they complete the curl up and push up tests.  The previous week they finished two flexibility tests, the shoulder stretch and trunk lift. If you'd like to receive a parent letter regarding the results of the Fitnessgram test for your child, please let me know.

Next Week: Fitnessgram Testing


Events: Marathon Kids...keep working towards your goal!  If you finished your mileage log, make a new one using a blank sheet of paper and keep jogging/walking.

As of now, the planned date for the Final Mile celebration is April 25th.

Upcoming Events: Jump Rope for Heart should begin at the beginning of March.

The date for Field Day is yet to be determined, but most likely it will occur in May.


EXPECTATIONS AND CONSEQUENCES


1) Follow all the rules
2) Respect each other
3) Dress appropriately
4) Treat equipment with care
5) Everyone participates



Failure to follow instructions and behave appropriately will result in the following infractions:
1) Warning
2) Time out to reflect
3) Teacher referral
4) Parent notification
