I just wanted to remind you about Huckleberry Bash....our class basket is a "Libby Lu" basket. We are looking for either cash donations or donations of nail polish, lip gloss, Hannah Montana stuff, dress-up clothes, etc. Basically anything really girly! I have only gotten 2 items for this basket and a $5 donation. Everything is due next Friday...please send in what you can! Also, Nellie is taking care of our classroom creation. She has asked that everyone in the class donate $10 to cover the cost of materials. So far, I have only gotten 2 donations. Please send in an envelope to school when you can.
This week we are doing some exciting things! We started our science experiment rotation. The kids went to Ms. Phillips class and made slime and then observed dancing raisins in Ms. Rangel's class. We have been writing some How-To stories and talking about the writing process as well. The How-To's are a good way to teach the writing process because they are seeing all the steps. Prewriting, rough draft, editing and final copy.
We are still in need of markers, crayons and we arein DESPERATE need of pencils. Ours are almost all gone.
In math we have been talking about tens and ones and
now we are adding hudreds!
KEEP READING AND WRITING!!!
Please remember to keep reading and writing at home every day. Daily literacy practice is so important
for kiddoes this age.
That's it for now. :)
