Ants and Bees
April 20th- May 1st
Activities
-Read aloud various factual Ant books.  Students learn body parts and life cycle of an Ant.
-Read aloud, Ant Cities, students create their own Ant City.  Students will label rooms and functions of the city.
-Read aloud, Two Bad Ants, students work in small groups to create their own room that the Ants visit.
-Read aloud, Bees, students label the body parts of bees.
-Read aloud many factual Bee books.  
-Students will list facts they know  about Ants and Bees.
-Students will create own Bee hive and bees.
Math

Students will explore the dollar bill and an exchange game The will explore ways to respresent numbers.

Information

-April 29th- Day of the child celebration.  See red folder for more info.

-May 5th- Money due for Moody Gardens field trip  $23.75 kids and $10 parents.

-May 1st- Young Audiences performance of Under the Sea.

-May 6th- Moody Gardens field trip.  Sack lunch needed.

-May 8th- Young Audiences performance of Dance of Asia.

-May 11- Student Led confrences. Student Led Confrnces last about 15-20 minutes.  Please sign up on Tuesday for confrences.  I will send information in the Red Folder.

-May 13th- Field Day.

-May 22nd -Kindergarten awards 8:30am

-May 27th -End of Year class party.
