                                   January 14,2010

Dear Second Grade Parents,

Wednesday, January 20th to Tuesday,January 26th our students will be taking the Stanford 10 achievement test. We will need your help to prepare our students.  Please be sure that your child goes to bed early, gets a good night’s rest, and has a full breakfast every day. If you are able to arrive early, breakfast is always served free in the cafeteria at 7:30 a.m.  To ensure we are able to start on time, please have your child at school by 8:00 a.m., and if possible take them to the restroom before school. We realize the Stanford 10 testing schedule will be very demanding for the children. Therefore, we will have no homework or spelling words until all the Stanford 10 testing has concluded. For the test they will need two sharpened pencils. Extra pencils may also be purchased at the school store before school.  The following week we will resume normal classroom instruction. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
