Help! We are in desperate need of 5 chaperones for the zoo field trip on Thursday, December 4. We will leave at 9:00 and return around 1:30. If you haven't updated your Volunteer and Chaperone forms with HISD, please see the office for more information. If you'd like to join us on this very exciting "field experience," PLEASE email me. Please be sure to have your child read at least 20 minutes in the evening and respond on their Reading Log (this is just as important as their math and spelling).
While reading during the week, it would be helpful to have your child read aloud to you so that they may practice their fluency and expression. Please also make sure to be asking them questions about their story. Why do you think the character did that? Where in the story did the character change? How might the ending be different if the problem was solved another way? Does this story remind you of another story? Does it remind you of anything that’s happened in your life? Etc…
