Today your child is bringing home an Investor letter asking for you to invest in his/her product for our American Dream planner. As an investor, I ask that you purchase the raw materials listed on the letter and send the receipts to school. We will use the cost to price the products. Production will start on Wednesday, so if at all possible, materials should be at school by then. If you can not act as an investor, please let me know, so that I can act as the investor for your child.
The 3rd grade classes will be setting up a Market during the week of May19th and the children will be selling their products to Robert’s students. Through this real life experience, I will be working the children so that they understand pricing and profit, opportunity cost, supply and demand and other economic principles.
This week we will be using the laptops to publish our pourquoi stories. We continue to read and meet in Literature Circles. Our new Math unit is multi-digit multiplication.

Finally, please save your Pringles Potato Chip cans. Clean them out, and send them to school with the tops. We need them for a year end project!
