1.) Textbooks have been issued. Any student who does not have a book should tell Mr. Hartman as soon as possible.The book should be left at home for reading assignments, help with homework, and studying for tests. Please be aware that the book costs $54.50. Students will have to pay for the book if they lose it.
2.) NO READING/NOTES DUE NOW. Read Chapters 16(pp 554-585, Predicting Inherited Characteristics) and 17(pp 586-613 and write 3 pages of notes due T/W 10/5-6/09. The format of the notes will be the student's choice.
3.) Field trip money and permission forms for the Enchanted Rock/Pedernales Falls field trip for Friday November 13 from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm will be due Friday 9/30/09. Cost is $1=42.00 to cover bus, park admission, dinner, and bottled water and should be turned in with the permission form to Ms Gray in room 128. Students will need a sack lunch. Students received the permission forms in science class M/T 10/19-20/09.
4.)Common Assessment #3 on ecosystems will be W/Th 10/14-15/09. Students should study their notes, classwork, and Chapter 19 sec 3 of the textbook.
5.) Unit test on ecosystems will be Th/F 10/29-30/09 on food chains and food webs.
6.) Grades for the first nine weeks will close Friday 10/16/09. All work including makeup work must be handed in by that time unless you come 10/21 for makeup. Makeup days will be Wednesdays beginning at 7:45 in room S-3.
7.) All late work will be accepted only after the students attends AIP and turns in the missing work to Mr.Cowan.
