Please check your student's agenda book daily for homework assignments he/she should have recorded. Just a helpful hint to students: studying for a quiz or test is homework.  Students have been issued a textbook which will be used in class everyday.  Grades are averaged using a total points system using Making the Grade program:
homework = 10 points each
quiz  = 100 points each
test/projects = 200 points each

During the first nine weeks only, AIP is assigned when homework/test/quiz/energizer is not completed on time.  NO AIP during the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th nine weeks.

Reminders:  All grades must be recorded on a grade sheet.  Extra help/tutoring is offered (in room 209) on Monday after school (3:55 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.)

Topics to be studied in 8th grade math:  real numbers, ratio and proportion, variables and relations, probability, data analysis, and geometry and measurement.

Topics to be studied in algebra: properties of real numbers, equations and functions, solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities, systyems of equations and inequalities, exponents and exponential functions, polynomials and factoring, quadratic equations and fuctions, radicals and geometric connections, and probabliity and data analysis.
