*Environmental Science Unit: environmental science, renewable, nonrenewable, inexhaustible, notes, examples of each resource, review turbines, discuss alternative energy sources, importance of conservation, recycling, reducing and reusing.
*Earth Science Unit: natural disasters and human impact from/on the said disasters, volcano and earthquake locations, transverse/strike-slip fault causes earthquakes, mid-Atlantic ridge, how volcanoes and earthquakes change Earth's crust, Richter scale, how volcanic eruption relates to climate change, plate boundaries and what occur along these plates. Weathering: mechanical and chemical, erosion, deposition, notes on the above, weathering lab, review of rock cycle, examples of geological processes glued into journal.
*Planetary Movement and Moon Phases: took Sun-Earth survey, review day and night, tilt, axis, rotation, revolution, orbit, Earth's movement foldable.
*Human Body Unit: organization of human body, brief description of function and major organ/structure of each system. Research project. Students match function and structure with systems.
***All work that has no name will have a 10-20 point deduction, depending on the type of assignment.
***Students are to use pencil only! No work will be accepted in INK!
***All late work will have a 11 point deduction per day for the first three days. After three class days, there is a 50 point automatic deduction.
