Reading Schedule for Blood Brothers:
Foreword and Chapters 1 - 3 by Wednesday 4/30
Chapters 4 - 7 by Sunday 5/4
Chapter 8 Monday and Tuesday
Chapters 9 - 10 by Friday 5/9
Chapters 11 - 13 by Wednesday 5/14
Epilogue + A Hopeful Word Friday 5/16
Students are to bring their novel to class every day from now until the end of the year.
The final exam will comprise of the power point presentation on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the novel Blood Brothers (vocabulary, characters, plot, events, themes, the Beatitudes, historical events and the geography of the novel).
Students are encouraged to take notes of each chapter (i.e. brief summaries and what characters do) so as to begin preparing for their final exam.
Monday, 5/5: In class reading and discussion of Chapter 8. Students will receive printed notes that includes vocabulary, important people, and a time line which we'll fill out as we read.
HOMEWORK: PREPARE FOR FINAL AND READ BEATITUDES, P. 36 EVERY NIGHT.
Tuesday, 5/6: Classes will continue with chapter 8.
Wednesday, 5/7: Current events presentations in certain classes. All other classes will continue reading Blood Brothers. EARLY DISMISSAL.
Thursday, 5/8: Continue reading Blood Brothers, Chapters 9 - 10 and beyond if possible.
Friday, 5/9: Quiz on Israel Map (no word bank)and 15 words from the first study guide. Continue reading Blood Brothers and preparing for final exam.
