• September 9, 2011 - Quiz over “Road Not Taken” & Analysis of Poem
• September 9, 2011 - End of First Three Week IPR Grading Period
• September 12, 2011 - Pre-AP students need to have completed & be prepared to complete project (will receive project on this day) - please bring book!
• September 15, 2011 – Quiz (Part One) Poetry Terms – use Purple Poetry Cornell Notes sheet to study
• September 15, 2011 - Pre-AP Summer Reading Novel One-Pager Project Due
•September 16, 2011 – Part Two Poetry Terms (Application)- Find examples of poetry terms in poetry
•September 22, 2011 – Recite “The Road Not Taken” for assessment over poise, enunciation, clarity, tone, etc.
•September 26, 2011 – Revised Poem due (poem previously written revised for figurative language, structure, and imagery) – assessment
•September 30, 2011 – Quiz Literary Terms (Use blue Cornell Notes sheet to study)
•September 30, 2011 – Students receive book project – due 10-6-11
• September 30, 2011 - End of Second Three Weeks IPR Grading Period – Can lose UIL eligibility!
•October 4, 2011 – have library book finished!
•October 6, 2011 – Book project due
•October 6, 2011 – Point of View Assessment
•October 7, 2011 – Assessment over Plot, Literary Elements, Point of View
•October 19, 2011 – End of First Nine Weeks Grading Period (Report Cards Home 10/26/11)
Every Thursday a Reading Log signed showing 75 minutes read due
