The experimentation and the written report detailing your project are due by Dec. 5.

least 2 professional journals)
Please remember that all facts, procedure steps, applications, etc. that are not your original work or original ideas must by cited. You may either use APA style internal citation or you may use the "old style" footnotes or end notes. (This is in addition to your bibliography page)
The display board will be due Monday, Jan. 12. I will give out some information about constructing a great board right after the holiday break. (I suggest you buy your board while you're off on semester break)
I will teach you how to write your abstract during the 1st week after we return in January.
Class science competition is Jan. 12 & 13. Bowie science fair is Thursday, Jan. 15 in the evening. If your project competes in the Bowie fair, please make arrangements to be at the fair to answer questions for the judges about your research.
Classroom Stuff:
Test Friday, 11/21 Photosynthesis and Respiration (Chapters 8 & 9), Energy Transfer in the Biosphere, Carbon and Water Cycles (Chapter 3), Human Digestive System (Chapter 38), Plant Leaf Structure and Stomates (Chapter 23??)
Monday, 11/24 Science Day (periods 1-6) Thanks to all who signed up to help! Your names have been turned in to the attendance office on the "field trip" list. You must either be at the Science Day site or in your regular class. Attendance will be taken in both places. You do not need a note from Mom excusing your absence unless you do not show up in either place at all!
Tuesday, 11/25 Statistics Day (periods 5 & 7)
Students from AP Statistics will teach you 3 techniques you can use to evaluate the integrity of your science fair data. This is a tool you can use to make your project more credible to the judges!!
