Homework --
Math -- Math Box 1-11
Social Studies -- Test on Friday 9/19. Bring a
picture(internet, magazine,book)or drawing
of something that relates to our subject
matter for the 1st three weeks -- Earth's
beginning to ancient civilizations.
Science -- Make a 3-D cell model, per instruction
sheet. Complete both sides of the
handout. The questions on the back are
from the text.
In Class --
Math -- Took the Quiz. Completed a discussion of
Study Link 1-9.
Social Studies -- We again attempted to relate key
terms from the first three weeks of
classes to develop a better context for
the terms and the processes we have
discussed.
Science -- Look at three/four types of objects --
living leaves, dead leaves, algae, dirt or
aphids. Described what we saw under the
microscope and drew a picture of each.

test and discussed some of the test
questions and new information on the
Topper site in South Carolina. Hung the
pictures brought for homework.
Science -- Completed a lab experiment
on "mitochondria", and worked in 2 or 3
person teams to complete the 'note-taking'
sheet for Sections 1 & 2 in Chapter 2.

tested on Tuesday. Gave time for study.
Social Studies -- Read Chapter 6 as individuals.
(The students had the choice to read Social
Studies, study for the math test or work
on their science binder.)
Science -- Completed three of four pages on the
content mastery worksheet, as a class,
and the students completed the fourth
page as individuals.
