*Discuss techniques in writing groups with student work.

Wednesday 9/10   Early Release at

*Bell Work

*Using pictures, discuss how to add sensory details using the 5 senses to writing.

*Fill in Graphic organizer

*Quick Write and revision

Thursday 9/11

 

*Bell Work

*Assign Writing Groups

*Revisit the instructions for Embedded Assessment 1.1.

*Explain the rubric

*In Writing Groups of 3 or 4 the students will begin the revision process for their timed writing.

Friday 9/12

*Bell Work

*Discuss the reflection portion of the Embedded Assessment

*Finish revision of timed writing.        

*Write a reflection on the changes made to the paper during revision.

EMBEDDED ASSESSMENT WILL COUNT AS 2 OR 3 GRADES!!
