Welcome to Mr. Luna's US History Class.
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I am looking forward to meeting and working with everyone. Our class does things a little differently. We don't really use schoolnotes.com. We use instead the internet site Moodle. If your student ever had a class with Ms. Maye, they will already be familiar with this website. All students enrolled in our US History class must enroll in Mr. Luna's class on Moodle.
Students need to find the listing Middle School and then 8th Grade US History-Mr. Luna (09-10). Click on this link to enroll in our class. Moodle will ask for an enrollment key. Please type it exactly like this Luna. You will then receive a confirmation email usually within 24 hours. When you receive the email, click on the link and confirm enrollment.
This website allows me to not only list the class agenda and assignments but also allows me to post class notes, worksheets, quizzes, test, workbook assignments and class handouts all on the internet.
It also creates an online classroom environment for students to collaborate. Students may have discussion forums on the current issues in class or chat with another student about a homework assignment.
I encourage all students and parents to visit the website often to see what is going on in our class.
Parents may login as a guest. Under the Middle School listing and then Social Studies, look for 8th Grade US History-Mr. Luna (09-10), then click on the link. The enrollment key is Luna
