MONDAY - FRIDAY. Start collecting items for the model. We also need to finish the abstract (about the city) before Wednesday. We will also be getting into a schedule with read180 and others so that you will all be prepared for the upcoming competition and be able to work on your own during the next month and a half.

This week we have to be prepared by Thursday to send the following: a copy of our completed city on disk along with the form completed that states that we have met all the criteria. Those who are willing, may work on the items at home following the guidelines set and discussed in class.
You may have to work outside of class to get these things completed. Use your PB wiki's to save things to so you can edit them in class and at home.
- The ABSTRACT - a description of the major features of our city. Must be ready to go with the city disk on Thursday.
- THE ESSAY - should have the outline done and the first draft written before we leave.
- THE MODEL - need to have the model team assembled to start collecting materials for our town.
- We will also have folks working on Read 180 and presenting their speeches (you know who you are). So be prepared!

- Work on items in class including city of the future work.

- MONDAY - Think about what the perfect city will look like!
- TUESDAY - Parts of the project assigned.

- Read 180 rotation
- Be sure to have your artifacts for the commonplace books - 10 artifacts that we will use for the next nine Thursdays' for our commonplace book time.
Week of Oct. 8th
MONDAY - 10 2-dimensional artifacts that have some meaning to you for the commonplace journal writing on Thursday. Due Tuesday.
Be sure to have all materials that you need for the schedule for the day.
Week of Oct. 1 through Oct. 5th
Complete your homework. We will be setting up a schedule for the class this week. Be prepared to work at all times!
WEEK OF Sept. 17 & Sept. 20 - Check the LESSON PLANS FOR P2 on the class website, http://www.mayebteach.org for due dates and class schedule. Be prepared for testing starting Sept. 25th and continuing until everyone has gotten through the process. READ 180 will be checked for participation and homework help schedules will be set up this week.
BACK TO SCHOOL NITE and MINIMUM DAY on Thursday. Be sure to complete your schedule list on Tuesday and take home with you. Extra points for the schedules being returned and signed by parents on Friday even if they are not able to attend the event.
Week of Sept. 10 Mon - Wed = No Homework. Review passwords and log ins. Thursday - Finish responding to the article started in class using the pbwiki site. FRIDAY - Study your notes for the quiz on Monday.
