Mrs. Infield Art Instructor strose9@arrival.netDear Art Students and Parents,Beginning our next quarter,Printmaking is the medium we are studying.The students draw and transfer their designs to a linoleum block. Carving into the linoleum is sometimes slow and tedious and it is really interesting to see how they react to this process when the computer they use for just about everything is so fast and immediate.Great printmaking artists we are looking at for inspiration are:Picasso,Andy Warhol,Jim Dine and of course the Japanese woodcuts from the Edo Period. On Thursday,Nov.20 a husband and wife printmaking team will give our art class a demo and show their work.Please don't forget Grandparents Day Wed Nov.26.
