April 28, 2008
All students should bring in their job applications and cover letters on Monday. The cover letter should have the corrections made.
This week we will focus on test preparation by completing questions from previous years. In addition, we will review grammar and punctuation.
The resume will also be a focus this week. I will explain what is needed and give a hand-out as an example. Once again, it must be perfect. I will hold tutoring sessions on Tues. and Thursday.
The next reading log is due on May 14th. I gave all students a copy of the questions to be answered.
April 21-25
Periods 2-5 Type your cover letter for Wednesday. It should be in 12 font and in Times Roman.
Please write a short story using your last eight vocabulary words. Begin with the word usurp. They should be used correctly. This is due Friday.
I will be giving you a job application to complete in ink. Remember to ask permission from your references. I realize that the entire form will not be filled-out.
April 14-18

TEST PREP - Beginning April 15, I will offer test preparation on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:15. Please give me a permission slip signed by a parent. I have permission slips in class.
