NOTE: All of your physical education schoolwork will be placed in your portfolio. Portfolios are kept in the fitness center and always available to you.
MIND - BODY - CHARACTER California State Standards determine what students should know and be able to do. This class and the expectations are aligned with those standards. Students will determine their grade every quarter by the level of responsibility they take in the following:
MIND (30% of grade)
- 3 fitness lessons per qt.
- 1 test on the fitness lessons per qt.
- project(2nd & 4th qt.) and nutrition/performance lesson(1 per qt.)
BODY (40% of grade)
- fit logs(in school activities)
- "health" related fitness tests(at-above-approaching)
- personal responsibility for in-class fitness activities(motivation, following all instructions, staying on task)
CHARACTER (30% of grade)
- character log(self assessment)
- teacher observation of the students level personal and social responsibility in class
