Every summer students have to do something to help furthur their education. This summer you will have several things to do. Read below for your assignments.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Your summer reading assignment is: 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. This book was checked out to you and will need to be returned when school begins.
You are to read the entire book (it is short) and the sooner you start the better! Do not wait till the last minute to complete this book because the assignments will be your first grades for the school year!
2. Send your teacher an emailed letter describing yourself and the following:
likes, dislikes
pet peeves
3 things you are proud of
life goals
your family, including pets
any other important information you might want to add
3. Start to discover leadership and leaders. Find out what a leader is and does. Find out who some great and not so great leaders are. Remember, leaders can come from all walks of life and one does not have to be famous to be a great leader. Look up information, make some notes and be ready to discuss this topic.
4. Remember to get all your school/binder supplies this summer. We will put your binders together as a class the first day of school! You received a school supply list in your "AVID Bag" that was delivered to you the last week of school.
