Parents!
The last day of school is tomorrow-I can hardly believe that the year is already over. I've really enjoyed getting to know all of your kids this year. They have worked very hard, learned so much, matured as students, and are such a fun and entertaining bunch!
It is a different good-bye this year because I know that it won't be for long. I'm really excited to have this class, again, in fifth grade! I know they'll grow so much over summer and the next school year and I'm really excited to have that extra special bond with them as they grow and mature as students and community members.
I've appreciated all your work and support in working together to help each of the third graders to be their best! Thank you for sharing your kids with me this year!

Parents!!!! Please check-in with your students tonight!...Every child got a missing assignment sheet this afternoon and met with me about it. Many had no missing items and got a homework pass as reward. Some had small items to complete/locate and have already returned them to me. A couple kids have a number of items going home this weekend to be completed. I've noted anything turned in to me after I handed out the print-outs on the sheet. Parents~ I'm really sorry I forgot to post yesterday. It totally escaped my memory. The kids brought home maps yesterday with the continents and oceans labeled. They have a quiz on this tomorrow. They will get a blank map, and the names of the continents and oceans and need to place them correctly. We will practice in class today too. They will also have an English test on unit 1. They did study guides yesterday, which will be corrected today and sent home. I will also make sure that they take their English books home to study as needed.

I talked to the kids about missing/unturned in work today and let them know (orally) what I need them to turn in. They also got a god amount of time to work on these odds and ends in class today. I'm having them work on them tonight for homework as well. Most students have just a couple or no items to finish, but if your child has many, they can spread them across a couple nights this week and get them in as soon as possible. I don't want anyone "staying up all night."
They will get a printed out report of missing items tomorrow or Thursday as well, in preparation for Progress Reports.
Rest and go to sleep early to be ready for another day if testing. Spanish due in Wednesday.
