6th Grade: This sixth grade was given their Percentages Exam back today. The results were mixed, and I have required each student to get a parent signature and return the signed tests by the end of the week. This week we continue to study our algebra concepts, continuing with integer subtraction and learning how to plot an ordered pair the next two days. We will end this short chapter with a quiz on Friday
7th GradeThis week we will finish our study of 3-D geometry, and will have a quiz on area/volume topics, along with classifying the 3-D objects on Wednesday. Next week we will assess the second half of the chapter with another quiz, rather than a long, chapter test. 8th Grade We will continue to review any gaps from our algebra study in preparation for a May 20th (Tuesday) final exam covering all the topics learned this year.
Additional Comments (04.28.08 - 05.02.08):
Tuesday we will go to see The Hobbit at CSU Eastbay. We will leave in the morning and return before lunch. Transportation has already been arranged.
Thursday will be our "Cinco de Mayo" celebrations.
Friday we will walk down to the Altarena Playhouse to see The Woods
