Dear Parents and Students:
  

    This week we continue studying fractions (the remaining two operations of multiplication and division).  We begin our week by continuing a math history video we started watching two weeks ago.  The links to the videos we watched today are:

We continue studying the topic of 'solve equations,' but now that we've mastered solving basic ones, we we will solve more complicated ones.  In particular, equations with variables on both sides of the equals sign and ones in which the distributive property must be applied.


We begin a new concept this week: the function.  After a few preliminaries, we move right into the linear equations and functions.
