Just a reminder about the test on Wednesday.
In a nutshell, this is what you should know:
Basically you have to understand the concept of theme ( the writer's central idea about human enperience) and clues in a story that lead to understanding the theme (title, character behavior, plot). The test asks you to apply your understanding of the concept of theme to a new story. You should study the following vocabulary words:
to sample (v.)
detached (adj.)
resilient (adj.)
to fade (v.)
abandoned (adj.)
In addition, you will have to compare and contrast the two main characters of the story in the test.
