PFC OFFICER NOMINATIONS FOR 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR
It is that time of year again to vote for the PFC Officers for next year. If you would like to nominate someone or are interested in participating in the PFC, please contact one of the PFC officers. Nominations will be taken at the next meeting, and voted on at that meeting as well.
SAVEMART SHARES CARDS ARE HERE!
The Savemart SHARES program is going strong-- so use those cards to earn money for Ripona. If you haven't gotten a SHARES card yet, please pick one up at the SCRIP cart before or after school, or in the office.
BUY SCRIP!
All money raised through SCRIP will go directly towards funding the computer lab. So far this year we have raised $2,000 through our SCRIP program. Keep it up!
For those that wonder "what is Scrip"? It is a program through which gift cards are purchased by Ripona Scrip/PFC at a discounted rate and sold at face value. This costs you NOTHING EXTRA! just plan to buy SCRIP before you go shopping and your shopping helps the school to raise money. Look for the Scrip cart in front of the school on Tuesday - Friday afternoons. You can also enclose a scrip order form and money in an envelope and turn it into the office. Your order will be filled and ready for pick up in the office a few days later.
Turn in those used ink/printer cartridges and old cell phones. They will be turned into $$$ for purchasing supplies for the teachers. The recycling box is in the office.
DONATIONS FOR THE COMPUTER LAB
PFC has pledged an overall contribution of $15,000 towards the proposed computer lab. Ripona School has saved $15,000 and the Final Phase is now upon us. The school still needs to solicit $15,000 from personal and corporate donations. Let's work together to complete this goal by year end! Contact the school for more information on how to get a letter to submit to employers/businesses that explains our goal. Every little bit helps!
The Parent Faculty Club (PFC) at Ripona Elementary School is a club whose mission is to support student learning and increase academic achievement and student success by developing a strong relationship between parents and our school. The PFC is made up of Ripona parents, teachers and staff. With a wide variety of activities during the day and in the evenings, anyone can be involved!
The PFC brings our school and community together by organizing and supporting many exciting events. The PFC raises money to purchase equipment and supplies for the classrooms and different programs offered at the school. PFC pays for many field trips, assemblies, and other worthwhile events.
